Why do so few smartwatch listings state a battery figure?

A watch runtime depends almost entirely on display behavior, and display behavior is a setting. A figure that only holds with the screen mostly off is a figure that invites complaints, so many listings skip it.

Does an always-on display halve the runtime?

This site does not publish measurements of its own, so it will not put a fraction on it. What it will say is that an always-on display is stated on two of the ten listings here and neither of those two states any runtime figure at all.

Is "water resistance" on a watch listing the same as waterproof?

No. A stated class such as 3ATM comes from a bench test at a set pressure. What the manufacturer permits, in water, at what temperature and for how long, is stated by the manufacturer and by nobody else.

What happens when an included membership runs out?
