I have owned four of these and I still wear one. The other three are in a drawer, and none of them ended up there because the sensors were wrong. Two died of charging fatigue and one died the month an included membership ran out and the app went quiet.

That is the whole idea behind this site. A wearable listing puts the sensor list on the front of the box and leaves two numbers out: how long the thing runs between charges, and what you keep paying after you own it. Both of those are usually somewhere in the listing. Almost nobody reads that far.

So this site reads that far, for 50 listings across 6 categories, and writes down what it finds. If a listing states a runtime figure, that figure is recorded. If it does not, that is recorded too, in the same field, because a missing number is information.

What this site does

  • Records the runtime figure a listing states, in the unit the listing uses, and never converts an hour figure into a day figure to make a chart look tidier.
  • Sorts every listing into one of five subscription models based on the listing text alone, and prints the wording that put it there.
  • Explains what a stated figure is a statement about in each category, because a number on a ring and a number on a neck fan are not the same kind of claim.
  • Says plainly where a listing says nothing. That happens more often than the shopping experience suggests.

What this site refuses to do

  1. No prices, and no subscription amounts. Rates move and a stale figure is worse than an honest gap.
  2. No ratings, no scores out of ten, and no claim to have tested anything. Nothing here was measured by me.
  3. No usage information of any kind for electrical stimulation units. Those are regulated medical devices, they are listed here as products, and how they are used is a matter for their manufacturer’s instructions and a clinician.
  4. No restating a manufacturer’s feature name as a finding. A listing that names a heart rate monitor has told you a feature exists, not that a reading is right.
  5. No targets. No step figures, no sleep figures, no heart rate figures, no calorie figures. A product reference has no business handing those out.
  6. No legal advice about recording people with a camera you wear on your face, and no naming of specific laws. The rules depend on where you are.
